Judging by the little glimpses of the daughter I'd guess it's more the mother only gives a shit about the baby, probably looks at the daughter the same way.

By extension, maybe she only cares about the top heir.

I think it's more of a "son complex" thing. Some mothers love their sons more than their daughters.

The daughter is also starved for approval and affection from her mother since the arrival of her bother. I doubt that will lead the Sari's benefit.

This anime has been kinda boring. I mean where's the fighting? I wanted to see the beast king blow some sh** up with his magic. Instead we get beauty and the hybrid beast playing house.

I know it's going for OTP, love & kindness conquers all, borderline puppy-love atmosphere but it'd nice if there were a series like this but more cunning was needed to overcome foes & weak consort tries to become stronger.

Eg. it was brought up by commenters some episodes ago that there are reasons why kings had multiple consorts, eg. strength in numbers via a strong biological bond, but of course any group can fall to infighting due to shaky bonds.
So, Leo could've allowed vassals to send consorts who fit certain behavioural conditions, then further screen them by how they relate to Sariphi especially. Then Leo could try to raise his children in a way to minimize infighting but maximize logical socializing.

"Fantasy, Romance, Shoujo" are the tags for this series, you're just disappointed because the show didn't give what you wanted, which is confusing considering there are tags that tell you what to expect from the show.

Look, this is a completed Manga. the series has a definite end and much has yet to develop , be revealed, and just looking at the open and close characters of major significance introduced. These action junkies just have no patience.

I've read the whooooole manga. Now I can enjoy this wonderful story in animation too without the cliffhangers bothering me. Life is good hm hmm
